Otto age IV

Post by rambo098 »

Hi, all - hope you had a great summer :D

I playd a otto mirror last night and my opponent did a fast ff.

im like : just hang back and survive the first wave.

To my suprice he goes age IV and its like gg when he send the 2 great bombards card.

SO, is this really i a good idea, to go fast industrial?

I mean if i whould do some scouting and find no army, it´s gg for him

So my question to you guys is, when is it a good idea to do a fsa industrial

map, cards, against what civs, BO´s ect... ?

all tips N tricks are appriciated :D

I guess you can start with a FF and scout whether its safe to go to IV or not
The bigger the map the easier it is usually to do so.
I'd ship 5 spahi in III to raid, maybe even the fort and then proceed to industrial, if possible. Age IV spahis roxxor :D

what you describe is the answer to your surprise.

fast industrials work beautifully, if your opponent has the midnset of "ah he's one age higher, i'll be there in few mins too" and if this goes on and on, he'll find himself in industrial where superior shipments.

as you said, good scouting kills off these kind of attempts

on texas, a FI with a shipped fort in age3 works pretty good. the general low hunts on that map makes it harder for your opponent too

FI shine vs brits, as they try to outboom you like everytime you play them, and find themselves bombarded with heavy cannons and spahis

Yeah, I used to 'lame' otto semi FI/FRev until I realized that it dosent work well vs good scouters. Man, when it is pulled off well though, people seem to get really pissed! It can still work vs a dedicated boomer/turtler. Agreed with chaos that shipping something (spahis/mams/stradiots or fort) is a good idea before you go straight to IV though.
If you want to go fast rev consider shipping 1000wood while aging to IV, then ship 8 hussar as soon as you can, then revolt. 15+ imp hussars+guard spahi +CM @ about 12mins is crazy. You only get one push though, but its a big one.

The otto FI/Rev can destory china easily. Even if you rush them with pikes they just need the 4 huss from age up to 3rd and saphi and they will pwn everything china has in age 2. Then if they make it to IV and rev..gg
