educational value lol. Games are games, i didn't learn from games. multiplayer's good point is that you have contact with people from all over the world.

Still, WoW isn't that much wrong, don't forget that it requires plenty of team work too (i.e. 10 person raids where they have to beat a single huge monster with co-operation). It's wrong in the sense that it's a free time black hole.

I think they have educational value if you study the subject matter that's involved in them. For example, if you really like the Brits in AOE 3, you would crack open a book about the Tudors, or British colonization in India, or the American revolution. While the games themselves may not be "learning tools," they get the mind going in directions it would not go without them.
