I usually forgo the building of cav for more inf. Is that a bad idea because I find that it isn't always the best idea.

This strategy of outmassing is really important to understand in treaty games, especially if you are using something like goons. The more guys you can fit into one battle, and the quicker you can replace the dead ones, makes a phenominal difference.

I think you mean those Aztec monks with 95 HP...I never played AOE2 online, but those were the days.

Thanks drew! I normally go cav in team games and iv found out cav battles vs a higher ranked opponent are not easy but this sould really help!

but i did peek at a few of IAMGRUNT's german decks
wth?! IAMGRUNT plays AOE3?? Since when does one of the best ever WC3 players play AOE? Wouldn't he spend all his time on FT?

iamgrunt was always known as mr. age of empires, he even was at WCG in 2001 or so for aoe2

and he participated of course for the two WCG in which aoe3 was played

Why is grunt inactive? I don't think he's bored with it because he's never bored with age of empires so there has to be something else. Do you think H2O killed him?

Grunt has rl too, he had already quit, he only played for a bit more cause of wcg.

Most of the old pros have gone inactive - NaturePhoenix included.

If I played a game as much as them, I wouldn't just stop playing. it seems weird seeing people who (used to) play for real cash just fading away like that.

Either they moved on to starcraft 2 or they are realizing there is more to life than rts games. At least we still got Flooky and the omnipotent H2O.
