Now for the rant. As the years go on, is it me or is it true that christmas is getting more and more commercialised? Its becoming more well known for present giving and less about the real reason of the birth of Christ, and spending time with the family. Opinions are welcome.[/quote]

People say this every single year in my experience.

To be honest I think Christmas has been that way for many, many years now, and this "rant" is just something akin to the "you know, back in my day...." type of speeches. Rose-tinted glasses my friends.

Merry Xmas. my favorite Xmas cartoon is the Futurama where Robot Santa invariably finds everyone naught and shoots to kill!!!

Nice kiddo's Bob!! Maybe someday I'll have some rugrats! Yah got a Vikings fan too I see!

Nice reference's Chaos, DJDan, KingKaz.
Xmas is commercialized but I think everyone's choice of how to celebrate it in most the civilized world. Yay to Japanese Christmas Cake, how wise they are for not making Fruit Cake!!! I prefer Festivus for the Rest of us style. Poor Smoke (my cat) is going to have to go through the 'Feats of Strength!!!' and the 'Airing of Grievances.'
KingKaramazov I almost bought a Brother's Karamzov book but a left it in the bookstore for another day. Wanted to ask you if they are real depressing as the description makes it appear so. Also might explain some of your 'Parade Raining' LOL since you've chosen them as your Internet Identity.
And Chaos I think I've seen what you're talking about at zeitgeistmovie.com warning, not for the pious at heart.

The Worlds a Great Place and getting better for humanity all the time (statistics prove it even if current perception doesn't agree) everyone enjoy this Christmas!

Nice pic cyclo. I'm sure there's some kind of mathimatical calcualtion going on on that shirt though.... heh heh.

Just on another note, we have galleries that we can use for photo's, once we have a few up on the forums then I guess we can transfer them over and make up a nice gallery for the clan.

No calcs, standard Hawaii t-shirt. I took that pic today, it’s a comfortable 78 deg F outside with a cool breeze. It’s nice to live on the equator!
