Program to record a VOD

Post by 36drew »

I'm looking for a program to record a VOD with. After watching some FPVOD's (first person video on demand), I think i'd like to share. Granted i'm not great, but some members could maybe learn something from them. It's got much more than a replay. Does anyone have anything in this regard? Or know where/how to do such a thing?

From what I've heard in order to do VOD you need a really hard core gaming machine and TONS of hard drive space since the captures take up enormouse space while recording. Later on you can reduce the size but you need a lot of swap space while its recording.

two softwares are
FRAPS
&
CAMTASIA

I think it's a great idea. I'd watch it for sure! It's a great learning tool.

I would do those, but the graphics capability on my laptop is a joke compared to many of your computers, I'm sure. Laziness also doesn't help. :)
Groovy.

Looks like this might require some work. A project for the holidays I think.

I came accross this in a recent magazine I was reading, not really looked at it yet but thought I would post a link to the website.
