Game 2

Indochina
Now we looked a bit better, but i didn't play good, forgot to build consulate and units were running around like hell.

They made a fish boom and we didn't and they blew us with Thlaloc canoes fast off the water.
And i need definitely 600 wood in my deck

Good effort guys. (Game 1)

This game shows what I've been trying to emphasize. 7:00 is the key. In team games unless a teammate is going to FF everyone should have a goal of maximum military at 7:00. Then you must all stay together and coordinate your attack.

Was interesting to see that VIE used some team woodcutting card as a first card. Which civ has that card?

VIE Chinese player was pretty slow for some reason.

I think it was the long filename so some windows versions were exceeding the 255 char limit for file name (including directories). I renamed them now

Game 2...

Ouch. I disagree that this game looked better. In the first game you guys had a chance because the Chinese player started poorly. In the 2nd game you were beat almost from the start. VIE had a good strategy planned and this time the Chinese player did FF. If you expect a FF you have 2 choices: set up and defend and FF yourself or all out rush. The rush you attempted wasn't strong enough. There just weren't enough units. Comadevil wasn't in good position to help with a rush. I think you would have been better off setting up defense around plop's forward WH and then someone going FF.

IndoChina also requires fighting for the sea. I learned that the hard way in a 3v3 random game. Unfortunately I was playing as French in the game and I don't generally plan on taking the water when I play French. But none of my teammates did either.

This game might have lasted longer but it was essentially over when your colonial attack was stopped outside the Brit base.

EDIT: It's always easy to be the critic when you're not the one playing. :)

first game slim_shady had 6 shipments before the 6 min mark, including 3 team cards.... (team woodcutting, team 3 vils and team 3 jags)

taking down plop's warchief 2x in half a min time = 600 XP

I'm thinking maybe we need an ottoman who can spam a few spies to kill enemy explorer's before they age up...

edit: I cant download the games btw... I get a page with thousands of funny characters 8O

Firefox is awesome. FAR better than IE. Not to mention that since the mainstream uses IE, most... unwanted guests tend to stick around there.
Groovy.

I watched both, maybe I'm missing something but I thought the second game was much, much better. Not just because it was a longer game but because you guys were very aggressive with the forward and the map choice helped a bit too.

Strokey, plop, Coma and CHAOS, thanks so much for showing up and making sure the games were played. Good efforts guys!

Coma, thanks for posting them up so quickly so that we could watch them.

To anyone else that showed up as subs, thank you so much. Well done!
