Wow. Played a game offline last night. I was using Brits for a change, random hard computer, standard maps.

Ended up against India on Pampas.....or was it Patagonia. Doesn't matter.

Setting on hard, moderate is WAY too easy. Akbar kicked my tail. Wave after wave of Sepoy, Gurkhas, Sowars, and Rajputs(?) in age 2. I didn't stand a chance. It was truly pathetic. Looks like I got some work to do to be even slightly competitive again (at least good enough to beat conscript or private).

You have to rush the comp. Then you'll should win. And if you practice a good rush you'll easily beat privates and conscripts. Well, actually the rush even doesn't have to be good. Just try to get troops into his base asap.

Funny you should mention that, at lunch today (I go home for lunch) I played Russia against the Expert comp +25% and I chose to play against Akbar. I've been wondering about playing eco cards first as Russia and whether I'd have enough time to sit back, let the cards take effect, and mass an army. I knew "he" was going to build sowars so i just built mostly muskets with all the upgrades and with some Cossack support. I was a bit surprised to win. Advanced arsenal is so important for Russia. Next is 30%.

Hey, this sounds like one of those tournaments someone was trying to get going. Can anyone beat Expert +100%? Don't even know if it goes to 100%.

Let's see. I'm really bored right now, so I'll go give it a shot.
Groovy.

Of course you can, if you exploit the stupid "shoot a villager and they garrison everything" method..
Although, I'd like to think they've updated the AI since my 'nilla days.
