Massive 4v4 Clan Spam-A-Thon

Post by Kaiser_von_Nuben »

Here's a massive 4v4 we did today on Deccan. Lazy decided to "stick it to me" twice with pike raids, but somehow we all manage to hang on and engage in back-and-forth spam wars across the plateau and back again. We started off with double skirm/double musket, but of course we wind up switching things around as the battles rage.

I think it should be a good watch for those who like seeing enormous AOE battles, redcoats, archaic infantry spams, czapkas, ruyter mobs, great bombards, rockets, Sioux attack dance lamage and general chaos. Crack open a beer, cook a meal and hit play!

In case you haven't heard, our fearless clan leader is becoming quite handy with the Evil Ottos ::/

GG to all who played! It is so good to be playing with some regularity again.

Here's the game lineup, just in overview:

Kaiser (British)
Blackadder (Sioux)
Wicked_Assassin (French)
Strokey_Blofeld (Ottoman)

v.

Generalbuschmann (Germans)
ckei (Germans)
Lazy (Spanish)
Shizle (Dutch)

I honestly felt worn out after that gaming session, some really hard games we played and this one saw the biggest battles. Sioux should be outlawed. I felt like I was breaking some unspoken rule playing as them. I hadn't got a clue what I was doing with them, spent most of my time with no resources, trying to mass cav and swooping in after my allies had ground the enemy down, not really participating in the team fight and laming the fire pit. Basically doing everything I hate about Sioux...and yet...I liked it

Lol, that was one massive session. I think I played for about 7 hours yesterday only stopping for toilet/drink/food.

That 4v4 was nuts though. It's a shame the 2v2 on pampas wasn't recorded as well, that was a fun game too!

Hehe, I think I played 5 hours, 30 minutes nonstop, with NO FOOD BREAKS. By the end of this 4v4, I was seeing stars! :D

But don't get me wrong... I enjoyed every minute, nourished or not ::/

This was a very good 4v4 to watch. Interesting with a French player and a Sioux player that they used almost no cav (compared to the LI spam). Early skirms and wakina's definitely a good idea. Very well played by all. The team that won showed the aggression from the beginning and held it all game.

Very true statement about Strokey and the Ottos. Very well played.
