36Drew/Shizle vs Deacon/Bodet
Drew Dutch (hussars) + Shizle Russian (cossacks/strelets)
versus
Deacon French (hussars) + Bodet Otto (jan/abus).
Random game.
Drew starts raiding (big surprise there) and Shizle ships 9 cossacks and raids with them while building strelets. Some hussar skirmishes and then there's one final battle where Drew/Shizle take the game. Hope that's enough info...and accurate.

Nice; thanks for posting.
Bah, I hate doing hussars with Dutch, even though it is quite a popular thing to do with a strong RI partner. I don't like the fact that a hussar BO prevents you from building a third bank for much longer than I like because you need all the food for the cav spam. I also don't like the fact that there are no Dutch Age 2 cav attack or HP cards.
I suppose the solution is to put everyone on food except 5 or 6 on coin, right? Can you keep a constant 5 hussar stream and vils with that? How about a market?

^ You basically have the gist of it. Markets usually don't go up until 10-12 minutes for dutch. Next patch they get an extra 100 wood starting crate. Not sure how that affects them.

Re: 36Drew/Shizle vs Deacon/Bodet
In team games, I always build a bank in discovery, then send bank wagon as card #1 for bank #2. Then I keep 5-6 on coin and everyone else on food.
After that, I send 700 wood, then 600 wood. Is that correct? I still don't like Dutch hussars just because they are so costly that it's tough to sustain with the small number of villies and only 2 banks for extra coin.
Don't forget, I also have a skirmisher fetish, and when I'm Dutch, that fetish kicks in big time ::/ If I want cav, there are much better civs for it early.

Absolutely. That 100w boost is pretty big for Dutch IMO.

Dutch are a tricky civ to balance too since they could so easily become OP again.

*Spam taunt 1*
Agree about the Dutch being hard to balance. I'm curious as to what extent that crate will really effect them.

Definitely. The 100 extra wood is a quicker bank, and the road to TWC-style Dutch OP'ness is paved with easy banks
I really don't think they need the 100 wood, at least in team games. I think the change is much more directed toward 1v1, which is tough for the Dutch at the moment. It is so easy to make Dutch OP; any change must be very carefully considered before it is adopted.
Would restoring the 7 vils to start be better than giving them an extra 100 wood? Or would that just give them much faster age times? I remember in TWC they would age by 3:59 with one bank, have 3 banks by 5:00 and slap any attempt to rush you cold. Then they'd wait a minute, go to fortress and obliterate you with 4 cannons and 17 ruyters. I don't want that again 8O
