Which two cavalry units in AoE3 are derived from the same historical cavalry corps?

I'm gonna guess at Uhlans and Hussars.

Nope.

BTW when I say cavalry corps what I'm trying to say is a type of cavalry soldier, they were put into use by more than one nation or army.

Well Dragoons were used as mobile Infantry by a few nations. They would ride to take vital ground, dismount and hold it until the infantry came.

The other one could be either Lancer or Dragoon, units used by many nations.

That could perhaps be the case, but that's not what I'm talking about. I think the terms dragoon and cuirassiers may both refer technically speaking to armored heavy cavalry used in this period, but I'm thinking of something a bit more specific than that.

Their names are somewhat phonetically similar.

Dragoons weren't armored only Cuirassiers who were named because of the Cuirass they wore. Though the amour didn't help when the infantry soldier shot the horse dead. They were useful for cooking steaks from the dead horses as the British Redcoats discovered after the battle of Waterloo. 8)

I'll put it this way...the two units are similar in their function in-game...and they were the same thing in history. The reason there are two different units in the game might have to do with a difference in translation due to the nation which used them....

I'll make it easier for you, since this is taking really long.

Forget about any units from either of the expansions.
