Fan Patch 1.2 Notes

I think abus are even good this patch. When I play ottos im usually using them in the second age, so I don't know if they lose their effectiveness late game (hence the +2 range next FP), but in colonial I think if paired up with huss, the combo can take on a lot

you guys do realize that abus can have another ranged attack before they are forced into melee? (min range for melee is 2 now)
i say ottos will be decent, aztec will still be crap

but why didn't they change things back which were just bad changes from the last fp? like the light infantry class which got kicked in the nuts in both fp 1.0&1.1 or spahi arrival time :-P

I would love to play the fan patch, but at my level 18-22, it's hard to find games.
Otto will be weird, dutch will be top.
I would abuse dutch and mercs probably on the fan patch.

Having spent a lot of time playing otto and aztec in 1.2, I will say that you won't be disappointed.

Looks like Japan got nothing but nerfed,

So where does that leave Japan compared to others in the patch now ? ..

any thoughts (drew) ?

It is missing on the patch notes that shrines are reduced to 15 max down from 20 but now give 15 pop, so their rush and rush defense gets boosted.

Japan is 100% competitive, no question about it.

Still looks to me like Spain will be weak, and sioux still look to be the bottom civ. Everything else though looks very good.
