Fortress, colonial is a little to limited, while age 4 gets to be a spamfest very quickly.

Proper arty - like Age II grens with the uber-grens card and advanced arsenal for the gren upgrade. Brit grens are to artillery what Fuller's brewery is to beer enjoyment. And LaZy has the same opinion of both. :P

I still think grens would be a good unit if they were not classed HI. That 50% RR would really come in handy when taking on all Age 2 infantry. But because they suffer from the HI tag, they wind up losing to both RI and cav.

Still, they are not a useless unit. In proper mass with the Brits, they can pwn everything. You just need to protect them long enough to get there.

Wow never knew grendiers were classed as heavy infantry, no wonder why I have a hard time with 15 grenadiers vs 15 longbows

thats actually one of my favorite 1v1 strats, cause it normally wins. brit musk/nade combo is so op in age two. and i rem. in a 3v3 like a year and a half ago on nilla, i went nades, and one of the enemies went all skirms, and it was like 70 skirms vs 50 nades, and nades pwned them. for me, i love the second age. it really keeps you on your toes, especially early on, for losing that one unit can end the game.... in the second age, your resources are limited, so thats where micro is really key.

I like age 4 and getting the heavy cannon rolling, with all your villagers on plantations/farms so you no longer have to spend ages tracking down bone idle traitorous villagers who seem to be doing there best to slow down your war machine even if it means doing the extreme and ignoring your commands and charging straight in to the mass of hussars with their razor sharp sabers and malevolent expressions. *******.

Grenadiers should win that battle, the HI tag does nothing xD

RI fails against them (perhaps not urumi) xD

I think it depends. Generally, the other guy will have a lot more RI than you will have grens early in the game, and the key battle is always the first one. If RI outnumbers grens before they can one-hit-kill a unit, the grens are going down.
