dhd's first ever sc2 rec :O

Post by deadhanddan »

not much of a game in comparison to micro and macro , but its a first ever for me!

terran mirror where i employ my lame-o speedy rax in the enemy's main rush.

still adjusting to this , coming from alot of sc1 play so sc2's feel is very odd so expect numerous nub mistakes etc etc but if u want to see a funny strat then here u go

i can clearly see that you come from sc1 :P
get orbital command at 15 pop always, the minerals from the mules are crucial, also at 6min mark if you woulda went in and destroyed the rax it woulda been gg, or later on when you suicided 20marines vs tanks :(
your play overall is creative hope it stays that way so we can get some fun games in the future! 8)

Yeah basically 10 supply 12 rax 13 gas 15 marine 15 orbital command (MULEs are crucial!!) is waht i suggest you to do every game until you get your macro and all the fundamentals going well. Ofc creative play is always fun to watch and play so keep it up! :D

Yeah siege mode own marines 200-0. Use siege tanks of your own or marauders to kill them off. If using siege tanks in TvT, be sure to make some vikings in addition to give LOS cause tanks shoot further thatn they can see.

I saw in a day9 vid that unsieged tanks do more damage to seiged tanks than seige do to seige :S if that made sense

Youre right froggy, but if tank is unsieged it has less range and no area damage.

vs immortal use ghosts to emp them. Immortals absorb damage if their shield is up but if you use emp their shield is down and you can kill them quickly.

Vs storm , you can try to emp the templar so he doesnt have any energy to cast storms, or use sitm to quickly dodge the strom, but tbh dont know really how to deal with thise effectively

Just do the same thing as in SC1, just get away from the storm. As Bart said - EMP is your friend esp vs protoss. Just remember that Ghosts have EMPs now. I just love the way you can just nuke the base after dealing with the army. Makes clearing out the bases quicker. Lol.

Yes emp owns everything protoss can throw at you. Only way for protoss to counter emp is very good control (spreading units) but most of the times t has enough ghosts to emp everything so protoss player has nothing to do then retreat.

thats why you need stim to follow up after you did emp, so his units cant retreat :)
