In classifications of learning new languages. English is classified as the most difficult by the US military. It's in a tier of it's own.

Rofl that's just insane, I think all european ones were easiest and there were some weird ones in asia/indochina that were indeed very hard.

English grammar and verb conjugation is a joke next to other languages :p

lol US military, what a source concerning language.

Didn't notice? Only native speakers say english is extremly difficult.

My source is someone who worked in the US military and speaks fluent arabic and farsi (sp?). He was teaching people that knew nothing about English the language and knew the classification of learning foreign languages. He's as American as I am....

He's as American as I am....[/quote] my uncle was stationed in turkey while in the airforce and he also said that english is most complicated to learn/teach. have to remember that english words can be used in many ways involving numerious meanings and sentence structures.

What I find what French makes such a hard language is the fact that every single verb does have different vents.

There is like 5% of the verbs that are irregular, the others are regular.

There are about 4000 verbs that are regular -er verbs. Some -re and some -ir.

The rest are very few.
