New year resolutions

Post by LaZy »

Right then,

in order 2 keep the spirit going, Id like 2 know what ur new year resolutions are. What did u most enjoy about 2009, what did u most dislike, what will u honestly try 2 accomplish, what will u attempt 2 prevent from doing again this upcoming year?

2009 was great.

highlights:

S25... need I say more? This was a fantastic long weekend and I look forward to doing it again this year!
My little (big) Alfie... amazing watching him grow up this year, learning to talk and discovering new things, it's his birthday on new years eve too!

lowlights:

recession... wow, what a crap year for money! no pay rise, everything costs the earth... and as for fuel prices!!! meh.

As for new years resolutions, I'm going to attempt to give up smoking! I'm also going to detox from drink for a while, but that's not new... I do that every couple of months anyway. Also looking to buy a house in 2010 so it's going to be an exciting year for me and my family!

Great topic.

2009 was a fantastic year. 9/9/09 was a day I'll never forget as that's the day I accepted my new job. My daughter started kindergarten - I'll never forget walking her to her first class. There's just too much to list.

As for 2010, I hope to be able to keep my workout routine going and keep on target with my taekwondo goals (oh, did I not mention that I was doing that now?). Of course watching the World Cup will be a big priority this year as it is every 4 years.

to the ^^^ is there gonna be a S25 this year??

2009: Likes
-Getting married was exciting, as was buying our first home! Also being nominated for excellence in teaching was quite an honor too!

2009: Dislikes
-Open heart surgery, almost dying. The worst part is spending weeks upon weeks in the hospital. That alone is enough to push a man to the deepest parts of the human psyche.

2010: Goals
-Keep everything about my lifestyle heart healthy (though this shouldn't be too hard as i've never smoked, drank, and i've always worked out... just the diet I need to monitor)

-I've been practicing yoga and meditation for the last half of 2009. I would really like to continue to advance my practice and studies in these areas.

Best of 2009
Starting college Waterpolo, finally getting an xbox 360 for Christmas, graduating highschool

Worst of 2009
Labtop breaking just after warranty ended, having 2 cavity fillings redone since they did not heal right, anr my grandmom died.

Goals for 2010
Finally get in shape, or atleast lose 30lbs so I can be 220lbs again.

Work on improving as a Dad, step up my game at home. There may be some work related things I want to work on, but there are things undecided so I won't go into that at this point.

Cheers, all, and have a great 2010!!
