Earlier, you said it was only the beer that was great from Belgium. Well, 2008 marks the 50th birthday of..........
THE SMURFS!
(Of course, many of you around here wouldn't remember them from the 1980's...let alone earlier than that.)

The SMURFS, NO WAY!!! I never knew that was belgique! What a great program! That is up there with Pingu as my favourite all time kids shows i watched as a kid! lol for those of you that have never had the pleasure of
'The Smurfs'
And if you've never seen
'Pingu' then where have ya been! lol

I never saw the program, but the little guys look annoying. Who the hell had the idea of making them all blue with white hats? o_O

There is lots of great things to come from belgium. Like me!
Great music. Jacques Brel. dEUS. Soulwax/2many Dj's (from Gent hey hey, I have seen them when they were absolutely unknown)
Chocolate, same quality ass the swiss.
Famous sports people, like eddy merckx (cycling), who should on anyone all time top 10 sports heroes list
Famous architects, painters,...
And still we cant wait to get rid of belgium,lol
