Sports

Post by Nighthawk22 »

Any thoughts on favorite sports? Sports you play, why you dislike some sports, etc. Thought it'd make a good discussion.

My favorite sport's American Football. It's a team sport thats huge in America. It requires strength, determination, teamwork, and some individual talent. Basically, its just a big role in my life.

I am pure South African and rugby and cricket are the national sport. :D

I love rugby for the rough play - I use to play lock for my club before my shoulder injury. I love being involved in rucks and mauls and making awesome tackles (esp. late ones lol). Well, got few yellow cards but this doesn't stop me. Lol. :D

I love to watch cricket for the duel between bat and ball. Tall fast dangerous bowlers are my favorite. :D

Like - European football (i.e. the beautiful sport). I like American Football as well though it's not as free-flowing. Anything where there's generally good competition, I'll watch it.

Dislike - curling, golf, tennis. I'm not real sure why those are called "sports".

I have yet to find a sport that i do not like to play. Though most sports are painfully boring for me to watch. So far the only ones that i can manage is water polo (except for the high school women's water polo some of the girls shots are soo weak it seems like it takes forever for the ball to move even a foot or too), swimming, and American Football(as long as i am not watching it with my mom, she can get too into it and become way to excited when the team she is rooting for is about to get a touch down). Though just to let you know i am the goalie for my high school water polo team (starting jv and back up varsity, me and the starting varsity goalies are both seniors) and I play on my churches volleyball team.
