And Portugal is out. 3-2 in the end :)

Only thing I miss is that nobody say Deutschland, Deutschland alles ist vorbei.
We were hoping that we could make a party (no bad feelings against germany, only looks so)

3-2. Not much to say, three stupid defensive errors, we played well but Ronaldo was missed. I don't think he actually did anything. The third goal was a bit unnecessary since Ballack pushed P. Ferreira to score his goal but that doesn't matter much. Childish loss for Portugal -.-

In my opinion, Germany played better than I expected, and Portugal played worse than I anticipated...

Hup Holland Hup :o[/quote]

thx :)
It is just that germany as soccer country isn't very loved here cuz they won the finals a time and your coach wasn't very nice when he said that holland couldn't get trough the poule fase cuz they had a too weak defence (I mean 1 goal against us in 3 games).
Still hope we meet in the finals and that some older guys can get over there complex when we win.
hup deutschland hup till finals :)

I think calling them ****** took it a bit far there, what constitutes them being ******?
The fact they have a reasonably strong team? The fact that they expected it to be a one man band(C Ronaldo) when in fact he didnt do much at all to shine this tournament?

Lol. I am not even a fan of soccer, but I am following this Euro due to this topic. I don't understand some of the soccer jargons but I am enjoying this banter between soccer fans. Keep this up. :D

PS. Can someone please explain to a rugby fan, who is used to seeing lots of pushing in rugby, why pushing is not allowed in soccer? :P

Its a form of expression and performing i think?! Its a bunch of men prancing about and diving to the floor the rolling around pretending to be in agony until play is stopped where they then sit up and receive 'treatment' :D

This is professional soccer anyway.

Mmm. I am even more confused, but thanks anyway. I'll stick with rugby. :)

But keep up that banter. :D
