Crossfire and SLI are for the very rich and show offs only - and you need a transparent case with water cooling and loads of neon lights if you want to make the most of it!!!
The 8800 is a fine card - it will do everything most mortals require of it.

Re: Computer lagging
If you play offline ok, then I would suggest your ISP is creaking on bandwidth due to high usage - try the game again outside of peak hours and see if there is any difference. If not, then I think you have a nasty on your system which kicks in when you attach to the internet. A full wipe/rebuild is ...

Re: otto in 1.01
The change is not that much. You only need to get a mosque up when you have about 22 settlers built. Then take the increased cap followed by faster vills as resource allows. Otherwise, just the same - although the silk road strats may no longer be worth it - the change from 30% to 15% is a bit exces...

Re: New approach to decks
Update: tried it - lost quite a bit! Ottos - you need villager/resource shipments unless on a water map as their eco is otherwise too slow to develop. I then thought about who else can boom in colonial without shipments - ports and brits I thought. I have tried a new port hc and at least given peopl...

Re: Treasures
Hold cursor over the treasure and it'll tell you what it is before you bother attacking - sometimes it can be a bit intermittent though! If I find a rubbish tresure like that I'll carry on checking the map in case of something better.

Re: New approach to decks
Looking to join clan now - just held off in case my old clan picked up! It didn't ..... I think I will be vulnerable to a hard rush, which is why I like someone like otto who tend to age up the earliest and so allow me to get a barracks down unhindered. Looking at an otto water deck, I can have scho...

New approach to decks
Further to my request to join the clan proper (rather than just running interference on other peoples threads), I've decided that a change of approach is required. I think I'm only ever going to be a 2nd lieut/master sarge by rank unless I spam OP builds all the time, so want a new spin on the game!...
Re: Greetings
Hi again! My clan seems to have given up on TAD completely, most only play vanilla now if at all.
Can I now join the clan? I'm based in the UK, so tend to be on occassional evenings (8-10 GMT). Please whsiper me if you see me online for an invite.
Thanks in advance!

Re: KingK vs Chaos
Xbows work well when you have dogs/rods to act as a meatshield. I have found from experience that delaying mm until shipment and batch of 5 xbow being built turn up together is far more effective than just dropping troops out piecemeal, even if you have to sacrifice some houses and your tower while ...

I'm afraid I just don't get Indians yet. I think I need to see some more replays as offline my age up and getting first troops out is woefully slow!

Re: Anybody using Samurai when playing Japanese?
If you are staying in age 2 and not planning on aging up any time soon, then the 3 samurai card is worth keeping in as a late addition to your army. You should play 2*ashi,2*yumi, ashi combat,2*settler cards first though, so only on a tp map will it be of use!

Re: Advice plz
I'd personally just buy a priest from the church, but admit I've never really even looked at this card. As brits have good church techs this is a building you normally build anyway. I am starting to look at the benefits of healing as I think this can play a part in military strategy.

Re: Scout Slam in 1.01?
I've never liked tying up my t/c by building them. I want a constant flow of new villagers in age 2 and this route seems to be all or nothing as if you lose the fight the other side has a much beter eco than you.
