Re: Aoe3 nostalgia

I'm not sure about you guys, but when I first started playing I was very nervous and 'feared the fog' for want of a better term. Only way I can explain it is I expected my opponent's soldiers to come out of nowhere and annihilate me constantly.

Re: Aoe3 nostalgia

I remember when I played my first game on ESO. Firstly I was like 'Dude how come I'm not in Imperial age?!?', because I used to play with the comps a lot on Post-Imperial... :D I was playing Brits and he was playing French on Orinoco. I just walled up and had about 18 settlers and 9 longbows at 10:0...
P.S. I don't think France is weak, just bland, boring, nothing special or exciting apart from the cuir.
They have one of the best crossbow/pike masses early in the game, and they're relatively easy to learn. :) I think I understand your point C...

Re: The blind people woke up over there at Robot

Maybe so Soccer, but by not doing anything to balance the game, they essentially forced everyone 26+ into a corner. Either put up with it, or make a fanpatch. The simple fact that AgeSanctuary had to make a patch should give you an indication of how motivated ES are to make this game succeed. After ...

Re: The blind people woke up over there at Robot

Because ES were only in it for the money? At the end of the day, balance or no balance they got paid. And when they realised that Japan & India were simply too powerful, they were far too lazy to imlement the changes that even the top players were suggesting. So in essence, they shot themselves ...

Re: The blind people woke up over there at Robot

I'd rather just stick to the AgeSanctuary fanpatch.

At least they know what they're doing.

Re: hotkeys

Actually, come to think of it, if I'm playing with the intent to win, which admittedly isn't a lot of the time nowadays, I will force myself to use CTRL + B, S, M, etc. It doesn't half make me laugh when I forget what's what regarding hotkeys and my villies are jabbing away at hussars and my muskete...

Re: hotkeys

I'm the only nutcase in this clan who doesn't use any hotkeys at all hehe.

Well, apart from T and V that's about it. If I was to learn and use hotkeys I'd probably play much better but the fact is I'm too lazy. ;)

Re: Website programming?

If I were you, I'd go about downloading Macromedia Dreamweaver. It's easy to use and you don't have to use code at all unless you choose to. It allows you to create a multi-functional website just by creating it in design view.

Re: Trouble vs Rusians

Yeah as Soccer said, your monk as China is your biggest friend. Put him into cover mode and he can soak up a lot of ranged damage. What you ship second depends on what he's doing. If you see him gathering gold and next to no wood, chances are he's going muskets or cossacks. If you see what he's buil...
