Re: Will FP kill the game?

I like the FP and would like to use it more often. However, at the time of night that I play, 11pm in California, there are typically less than 800 players on ESO. Of these, only a few top PR players are using the FP, and they won't play with a lowly MS like me :( . If I want to play a game, I reall...

Re: The Portuguese Rush/Aggressive Map Stealer!
Iros and Ottos have a strong HI rush, which is tough to counter for ports. I would place the 2nd TC close to your first and do a semi FF. Build some Pikes and Xbows and then try to go up.
My questions now is, do you add villager TC fire to support y...

Re: the state ESO has has turned into..

I have been disappointed that the fan patch has not gained wider traction with ESO players. It seems the FP is used mostly by higher level players. It is almost impossible to find games outside of the clan on the FP for lower level players like me (PR17). I have to switch to TAD 1.01 to find any QS ...

Re: The Portuguese Rush/Aggressive Map Stealer!

Sporting, this is a great variation for the Ports. I have watched your recordings and the challenge I have had is against a fast Ottoman Janissary rush or Aztec Puma rush. They can typically hit colonial 30 seconds (or more) ahead of me and have 10 jans at my forward TC/barracks before my xbow shipm...

Re: I love L.A.

I love this song too. Today was a great day in L.A.- about 85 degrees F thanks to our Santa Ana winds! My kids were playing outside in their shorts and tee shirts. This has been some of the warmest January temperatures in So. Cal in the last 50 years.

Cheers!

Re: How to bash a Indian Brigadier on Land map with Ports

When I tried Firefox, the download link didn't display on the page. I don't know if I have to change my settings on Firefox or what the problem is?

Thanks

Re: How to bash a Indian Brigadier on Land map with Ports

I would really like to watch this recording. However when I try to download it I seem to only get about half the file. I have tried about 3 times now with no luck. Any suggestions? I am using IE on Vista. Haven't had problems downloading other recording from this site of similar size.

Thanks

Re: Chinese Semi FF / FI (1v1 supremacy)

I had heard from someone that the Qiang pikemen had a bug with their cav bonus. Is that true or has it been fixed?

Re: Chinese Semi FF / FI (1v1 supremacy)

This looks like a fun strategy. I have been playing a bit of china recently and have experimented with shipping the advanced market card as the first HC card. This gives you a market rickshaw and improves your exchange for selling & buying resources. Typically, I have enough resources from treas...

Re: Question about other civs equivalent "booms" to Japan
I suppose Sioux have the option of getting Advanced Trade Posts on certain maps.
Or they could send the 3 Trade Post Travois card and then research stagecoach. This is an age 2 card, so it would be a tough choice to ship it as the first colonial card or...

Re: Question about other civs equivalent "booms" to Japan

I have a seen Sioux boom in colonial. It was a recording (TWC) of Parfait playing against the dutch. He aged with the 500 food politician and built a firepit during age up. During transition, most of his villagers on food, so with the age up food, he had a good stockpile. He then put about 10 vils o...

Re: HELP WANTED

They used to be fun and challenging when TWC first came out. I guess this new patch has done them more damage than good. I was just checking Cylohexane's TAD guide and in the section about native home shipments, it show that several Sioux mercenary cards are not functioning. From what his note says,...

Re: HELP WANTED

Game 1) Your age up to colonial was about 40 seconds behind the other player. That really put you at the disadvantage. His 4 axe riders then put you off balance for the rest of the game. Game 2) (Russia). I kept hoping that you would go fortress. My favorite Sioux combination against Russia is wakin...

Re: India

India has a villager shipped with most HC cards, but they suffer a penalty in earning shipments (like the Germans). However, this can easily be overcome by capturing as many herdables on the map as possible and tasking them to the unique India structure, Sacred Field. You can either build a SF or ha...
