Re: Wikileaks...

Unavoidable, and I think overall that's a good thing. When our biggest industry is our Federal government, how can you keep a lid on everything they do, and why would you want to?

Re: Any1 got a good port FI rec?

Aw, someone removed the spambot post, and now my post makes no sense. Which, of course, it did before.

Re: heart of it all...

Doesn't sound like too many repetitions would be needed. It doesn't take all types, but we sure have them.

Re: Any1 got a good port FI rec?

Fascinating comments on the Port FI, Denver. Reminds me of English class when I was up to late and didn't read the assignment. Seems like the teacher always called on me those days, and it sounded about like that. Maybe I missed my calling as a future spambot.

Well if it goes on a little longer, you can just have another election.

Hey, two out of three isn't bad.

Great to "see" you! Glad you are doing well. No advice on your question, though, as my work/life balance has been a little out of whack lately.

Cheers

Re: Need help with British against other booms and Fast fort

There are not too many experts on Ages any more, so you may be stuck with me. You should not lose to someone of regular skill in a boom fest with the brits. You are doing too much raiding and army placement, and not enough booming. Your best bets against an FF are to get a large eco and army in age ...

That's optimistic pricing, even for all three games, at this late date. I haven't looked over here recently to see what they're asking.

Re: the BP oil scandal and clean up

Sarah Palin is as well-qualified to speak about energy as Charo. In fact, a Palin-Charo ticket for '12 would be awesome. It would mean 4 more years of Obama, but IMHO that would be well worth the awesomeness of seeing that campaign.

Re: the BP oil scandal and clean up

Well, since we are the only thing around capable of conceiving of evil, I guess that makes sense. We're also the only thing capable of good... Population will likely peak around 2050. Not sure exactly how we will know if we have "too many", but it's entirely likely that we will survive the...

Re: the BP oil scandal and clean up

One big hurricane, right through the center of this, might be the best thing for it. A near-miss causing just a surge of oil into the marshes would be bad (which we almost experienced with Alex), and if a hurricane disabled their containment efforts, that would be bad too. But the oil picked up and ...
