I don't rush usually, and when I do, it's not very aggressively forward. If it is, then I don't play Japan. In that situation, I don't know what I'd go with. Torii gates for a second barracks or a stable to balance out your army, maybe? I'd probably build a barracks manually anyway.

I really don't like chakrams. They seem like grenadiers, but without the obscene siege damage. I dunno, I haven't really given them much of a chance yet.

The problem with China isn't their age 3 team cards (Although they are OP), it's their absurd age 2.

Rasc, I usually make mostly gurkha, hit and run like mad, and mix in some sepoys for anti-cav.

I've gone against French xbow spammers with my German xbow spam. It's not pretty... then again, I am usually incredibly unlucky so he may have gotten perfect treasures and stuff. The French economy is just vastly superior to Germans.

Bob, all I know is that by the time I have 20 crossbows and 4 uhlans out, he has a good 40 crossbows. I can't afford 2 barracks while he can. This essentially doubles his production capability. I don't time it, though.

Rasc: I have found that the agra fort is the best way to age up to colonial. You get a free barracks that also serves as a defensive building. You get a barracks as soon as you hit colonial and can start making guys substantially faster than with other wonders. You also save the 200 wood for a barra...
