Re: Now I love this patch.

NWT was one of my favorite maps. I always did good on this map and loved the layout and graphics. Back door raiding was always fun. I wonder why this was removed. I understand the reasoning for the others (to defensive or bugs in team play on Andes & Pampas). Oh well, TAD has plenty of cool maps.

Re: New Computer Time

^ I asked this question to a few different people and apparently there is one major difference. eVGA offers a 90 day upgrade on all of their cards. I'm thinking about buying an 8800 GTS eVGA, then upgrading within 90 days when the price drops on the 9800 (get same as cash value for what you spent on...

Re: New Computer Time

Anyone know why nVidia has so many different manufactures? I see the same card produced from PNY, eVGA, ZOGIS, BNG, etc.

Is there any differences?
That is a great case you got cyclo, it's one of the most popular gaming cases amongst people who choose to build their own systems, top choice mate! I'm a little confused by your graphics card choice though, the 8600 isn't much better than the 7800 you h...

Re: New Computer Time

I just bought an Intel Core2Quad Q6600. I stopped by Fry's on the way home to look at all the gear and continue research and it turned out they had a sale going on that processor. I was just doing internet research and the cheapest price I could find (Toms, Price Grabber, eBay, Google search), was ~...

Re: New Computer Time

^ I do play FPS sometimes and enjoy having them on the highest settings when heads explode. I would also like to run AOE3 in the highest possible settings as well (graphics are really nice when you do not have on lowest settings for lag relief). The 8800 series: GT (512MB, PCI Express 2.0 x16, Dual ...

Re: New Computer Time

OK, Comp USA, after many phone calls and run arounds, is basically going to send me my money back after I send the card back to them. Unfortunately, the whole process is going to take a few weeks. The good news is, I will have $350 to spend on a video card which leaves me with many options. The one ...

Re: New approach to decks

I always try these complicated strategies that require this and that and look great on paper and fun to play, but against a classic age up build military guy, just don't work. Every now and then, you do make something very powerful and complex, just have to think outside the box. If your losing and ...

Re: The OFFICIAL I almost beat thread

I almost beat Nav once, he was at Severe Beatings house and I thought I was playing Severe. My over confidence allowed me map control since I didn't know it was him. Of course the same overconfidence allowed hordes of my villagers to be slaughtered while out hunting unprotected... I was proud of Sev...

Re: Scout Slam in 1.01?

The guy that invented the scout slam initially made them for the Aztecs due to the firepit Gift dance and availability of needed shipments early to get it rolling. In the next patch, it will definitely be more viable since maces just got boosted against scouts next soft Colonial counter, HI. Shippin...

Re: What is the hardest civ to play in 1v1?

I think any new civ you play is difficult. It is only after playing them awhile do they seem easy. I used to have the hardest time with Spain always housing myself. Dutch may be easy to you guys, but I have never really played any real games with them and struggle to keep up. And the difficulty of a...
You all keep talking about how "weak" Aztecs are past colonial due to their units and whatever, but why are Aztecs considered one of the strongest civilizations in Treaty and FFA games? Because of their amazing boom and strong late game. [/quot...

Re: Advice plz

The card blows, look at my guide (in signature for free download) and go to the worksheet "Healing and Repairing Guide" for more details. Basically, you are paying 700 gold (average cost of an age 2 shipment or more if sent after age 2) for a card that allows manors to heal at a rate of 5 ...
