Here's the explanation for the rankings:

AOE Rankings

Basically a win gets you points, no matter what. The higher you get the more a win over a quality opponent will give you points. A loss vs a lower player nets you a bigger loss as well..

I watched this last night. It was interesting to see him not scout or put any pressure on you? Is this the equivalent of him giving you too much respect b/c of rank/skill?
