Re: Navarone_Guy's guide to Japan

Depends on the way you are acting. If you want to make pressure early on, ship ashis. If you want to play defensively ship 2x 4vills first in age 2. In team games you should ship ashis first imo. But if you ship ashis do something with them. Go to your opponents base, look what he's doint, try to ki...

Re: Round 3 - Rufio_eht vs Soccerman771

Ok, watched it. Didn't realized it was Texas lol. You have 2 Towers and already a Barrack set up, so no need for Spies imo. Ship 700 Wood first and start messing houses. After that ship 5 Villies like kingchris and i mentioned. Your LBs worked well vs his Tomahawks, but they were without any shield....
Huggy, it was close to that. What would you say is a good ratio? 6 food 11 wood or 7 food 10 wood? My second card was the 5 spies due to the expected beefed up war chief. I did lay off the market for too long think back now...
Depends on what you w...

Re: keyboard shortcuts

I'll try to use all of them. I also put shortcuts on my building so that i can build new vills without leaving the screen from a fight. T=TC, V=new Villie. Always needed. And also strg+building key (like b for barrack). You should use them, you can play much faster.

Re: Round 3 - Rufio_eht vs Soccerman771

Without seeing the game yet, try to put more than 1/2 of your villies on wood while aging. First build a market, pimp your wood income, get another house and after aging put more villies on food again. Your first card should be 700 wood then. Don't know if you did, i'll watch it the upcoming days.

I like Honshu. Several strats possible. You can rush, you can do a nice water boom and you can go for the extra island. Nice, nice.

Re: Animal counter?

I think they are (very) light cav. So muskets or a meatshield with pikes should work.

Re: Navarone's guide to the "People's Army"

They are strong, too strong imo. If you use them the right way they are OP. I struggled so many times vs players below my rank (pr 19-21). It's ok too lose when you make several mistakes or your opponent just plays a good game, but it's frustrating too lose, when you see that you just can't do anyth...

Re: Navarone's guide to the "People's Army"

I can't really handle spamming cav and if the china dude knows that i'll go for cav he'll rush me. So he has so much more troops than i got cav and i think 25 pikes will do fine vs 10 or 12 horses. I think spamming troops (muskets or maybe spanish rods - haven't tried doppels (+ free uhlans) yet) an...

Re: Navarone's guide to the "People's Army"

Disciple FF is OP. If you meet a player who knows how to play and micro right, an average player like me has no chance to beat him imo. I had a pretty good 2 vs 2 with a mate vs a chinese FF and an Indian player: http://www.agecommunity.com/stats/GameStats.aspx?loc=en-US&GameID=cbd9b93c-665c-48e...
