Hey drew, looks like we have to play another game to get me some tips here lol.

Never understood why people level up their hc in such games. If you beat an opponent with a lower hc you even get more points. At least you can play some unrated 1vs1 to learn your civ right from the beginning. Then you'll see which cards you'll need to optimize your strategy.

Muskets +Hussars could manage it. Muskets > rods and those spanish horses, while Hussars can handle cannons and skirms. You have to outmicro him, but if you beat this first spanish attack you have a pretty good chance of winning the game.

My main goal is to improve my overall gameplay. Rank isn't that important, though it shows if you have improved or not.

In AoE3 Sylverstar and me were in the top 10 for 2 vs 2 for about a month. But it's too hard to play even half of the games the leaders are playing.

Strat sounds good. Got a record somewhere where Ourk played like this vs a dutch player, though i think he stayed in Age2 und took out the cannons with Lbs and Pike support.

We are 28th in the DM-Ranking as well.
