Re: World Cup 2010

NZ in for only the second time in history, after beating the mighty Bahrain 1-0! Hopefully we can score a goal, conceding less than 10 wouldn't be too bad either.

I think it's hard for team game players, 1v1 isn't too bad I don't think.

Re: Fanpatch 1.1 Discussion

Yes, I never feel I lost the game because of some major civ imbalance, but because of my own mistakes. Or maybe I am playing the new OP civs? :?

Re: new lamest civ

Most of my recent 1v1 games seem to involve the Dutch, whether it's me who's playing them, or the opposition. When playing with them, I have had mixed results, but when I lose there is always the feeling that it was my own mistakes and not any Dutch civ weaknesses which cost me the game. Even in the...

Re: Most recent stupid mistakes

I was riding my bike with no handlebars and a car came up behind me. Usually I put my hands back on when this happens but I thought I would be extra clever so kept them off. However I panicked, went too close to the side of the road, and fell off, scraping my privates.

Re: What Do You Think of Ottos Now?

The thing is with Brits is that they have a much larger vill count than Ottos, so as Ottos you may have about half the number of vills, making the market upgrades less effective. As for the mosque upgrades, so far I get at least the first one straight after aging. One problem I am finding is I pour ...

Re: What Do You Think of Ottos Now?

What do you guys think of the TP/silk road option. Is it dead and buried now? I am thinking with a 400 wood start this could still be viable, with the trade route income paying for the mosque techs, making an even stronger boom! Also, what do you think of 4 mams now? Is it still a must have card, or...

Rush civs can do quite well, especially if the jap player tries to shrine boom.

Re: Who will win the AS 500$ Fanpatch 1.00 tourney?

I think those guys are just joking around, it's not like when H2O was here, there was a lot of bad blood going around back then.

Anyway I'm hoping that Challe wins. For some reason I never want Skwzz guys to win, they win too much. And then of course there is Mayh3m's ego...

Re: No end in sight

As I mentioned before, your evidence relies on the assumption that when Bush said "he wouldn't let inspectors in" he really meant "he fiddled around on a few weapons sites before the inspectors arrived". I have no reason to believe that this assumption is correct, so I have no re...

Re: No end in sight

@ Jonesk: No country has an abstract "right" to pre-emptively attack another. Rather, it's all about power. If one country is powerful enough to say: "We're going to attack you to protect ourselves," it has nothing to do with "right;" it has everything to do with brute...
