Well wait for a while and disconnect the power cable. Then it can turn on again.
SSD will be fine

Still no life  , not a single led even turned on. Strange thing is there was never a smell of a burned out psu.I pluged in my old psu but it did not have the correct number of pins and it had the smell of a burned out psu.

Time to order a new one , or could the whole motherboard , cpu and graphics card be gone as well ?

Well if no leds at all are burning then i guess the psu is broken or the fuse(?) of the psu is broken.

I don't think that the rest is broken except u got lightning puncture(?).

(?) means i don't know if it is the correct words

I swaped power cables / plug into the wall.  It was pluged into surge protector so lighting , power spike etc it should be safe from. The fuse box did not go, bit stange as it cut the power when a light bulb goes.

Thinking about it the psu is under a year old so it might still be under warranty.

I don't know. I was never in the situation to check it, though if u open it, it voids the guarantee i presume.
So it is best to make use of the warranty.
Maybe u have access to a friends comp with a powerful enough PSU to verify if it is really the PSU

dose 20 or 24pin psu matter ? I got a old 500w 20 pin from my old desktop, still no life but could check again with it.

It will work only with an adapter cable and the 500W PSU should also have the additional connectors for the CPU power.
